We collect the minimum needed to make Puzzlr work — your account, your puzzle progress, and a few anonymous usage signals. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. You can delete everything at any time.
1. Who we are
Puzzlr ("we", "us", "our") provides a collection of daily puzzle games across web and mobile. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use Puzzlr, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, a display name, and a hashed password. If you sign in with a third-party provider (Apple, Google), we receive a basic profile (name, email, provider ID) — never your provider password.
Gameplay data
To save your progress, streaks, achievements, and leaderboard standings, we store:
- Levels completed and current progress per game
- Daily-streak count and history
- Best times and scores
- Achievements unlocked
- Settings (theme, sound, notifications)
Device and usage data
We collect anonymous diagnostics — app version, OS version, device model, crash reports, and high-level usage events (e.g. "puzzle started"). This data helps us fix bugs and prioritize what to build next. It is not linked to your real-world identity.
3. How we use your data
- To run Puzzlr. Sync your progress across devices, show leaderboards, send push notifications you opted into.
- To improve Puzzlr. Understand which puzzles are too hard, which games people love, where the app crashes.
- To keep Puzzlr secure. Detect abuse, fraud, and account takeovers.
- To talk to you. Reply to support requests, send essential account emails (password resets, security alerts).
4. What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal data.
- We don't show third-party ads inside the app.
- We don't track you across other websites or apps.
- We don't read or store your contacts, photos, or location.
5. Sharing with third parties
We share data only with service providers who help us run Puzzlr — hosting, email delivery, crash reporting, payment processing for premium plans. Each is bound by contract to use your data only on our behalf.
6. Your choices and rights
You can, at any time:
- View and edit your profile from Settings → Account
- Export a copy of your gameplay data
- Delete your account and all associated data — see our Data Deletion page
- Disable push notifications from your device settings
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws (access, correction, portability, objection). Email privacy@puzzlr.app to exercise them.
7. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we erase your personal data within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregated statistics may be retained longer.
8. Children
Puzzlr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll let you know in-app and via email at least 7 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
